Telecommunications Sales Representative

CoastConnect is looking for a full-time Telecommunications Sales Representative to work in the Pearl River, Hancock, and Harrison County areas. In this position, the Sales Rep will be responsible for making residential sales of high-speed internet and phone services in an assigned area by connecting with prospects in person or by phone. The Sales Rep will maintain customer-focused approach during all contacts and maximize sales opportunities by use of strong sales and up-sell techniques.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Telecommunications Sales Representative (Sales Rep) will develop prospect lists using CrowdFiber, RIQ, CNXBuilds maps, etc., and connects with prospective and existing customers in person, by making outbound calls to schedule an in-person meeting, or by phone to close the sale. The Sales Rep will evaluate the needs of the customers and explain features and merits of products or services offered; answer all questions concerning the products or services; and demonstrate telecommunication products or services, provide assistance in the best application of products or services, and explain pricing of products or services. The Sales Rep will close transactions and take orders by assisting the subscriber in creating an account in CrowdFiber. The Sales Rep will analyze, interpret, and report on records of present and past sales, trends, etc.; prepare packets of sales materials for potential new subscribers and prepares and delivers packets of material for new subscribers; and work special events during working hours, evenings, and on weekends when requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Must possess a valid Mississippi driver’s license. This position requires the ability to work during regular business hours as well as weekends and evenings as required for community events. Must have the ability to use computers and computer systems to setup functions, enter data, or process information. Must have skill in data entry, data query, Microsoft Office, and route mapping system. Must have knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Must have knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products and services including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Must have knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Must have the ability to talk and speak clearly so others can understand you and to convey information effectively. Must have knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing and managing files and records. Must be able to listen and give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Must have social perceptiveness to be aware of others’ reactions and understand why they react as they do. Must have the ability to read manuals, maps, and the like and ability to prepare summaries and reports. Must have good judgement and decision-making skills. Must have integrity, initiative, and persistence. Must be dependable and able to work independently.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must have the ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop. Must have the ability to sit in a vehicle for long periods of time and drive from house to house. Must have the ability to see details at close range and at a distance. Must have the ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 20 lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The work is performed both inside and outside in the extremes of wind, heat, cold, wet, and humid weather.
