Salary: $47,500 - $51,500 Annually

Columbia Basin College ("CBC" or the "College") seeks a Retention Specialist/Head Baseball Coach to provide educational planning and assistance to CBC students. This position will provide a full range of academic advice and guidance in individual and group sessions, assist students experiencing academic difficulties and refer students to counseling professionals as appropriate. In addition to Retention Specialist duties, this position is also responsible for the development and maintenance of a competitive men's baseball program within the guidelines of the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) and the College. This position reports to the Associate Dean for Student Retention and Completion as well as the Director of Athletics for coaching responsibilities.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university; One (1) year of experience working with diverse populations of varied ethnicities, ages, backgrounds, and abilities in an educational, nonprofit or social services setting; Experience giving oral presentations in a group setting; Experience playing or coaching competitive baseball; Have a valid US driver's license; and Have a current CPR/First Aid Card at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university; One (1) year of experience working with under prepared adults, first generation college students, and/or students with special needs; Experience in a community college setting.
