Job Summary

The StartUp FIU Department is currently seeking a Temporary Curriculum Associate to join their team of professionals. Duties include:

  • Supports the university, through outreach to engage students, community members and small and minority-owned firms in a program build capacity, networks and unlock business opportunities
  • Maintains a dynamic university and community outreach program including talks, participation in events and other PR activities
  • Provide workshops and other forms of teaching to expand our program participation
  • Perform analysis, evaluation and drafting of documents and coaching and mentoring of team to support the design and development of new offerings and improve existing ones
  • Carry out special projects as assigned.

  • Experience in preparing strategic plans for businesses at all levels and facilitates training
  • Experience in developing a network of instructors, businesses & potential partners
  • Experience mentoring or coaching students, entrepreneurs, and business owners to advance their ideas, services and products toward commercialization, segmentation, and business growth/expansions
  • Experience in curriculum development
  • Experience in entrepreneur assessment and pathway development
  • Customer-centric orientation
  • Demonstrated understanding of innovation, entrepreneurship, the steps to commercialize and business growth/expansions
  • Experience teaching workshops, bootcamps or courses in strategy, business planning, marketing, innovation, and entrepreneurship

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in an appropriate specialization and five years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate specialization and ten years of relevant experience

Work Schedule

M-F 8:30am to 5:00pm
