Job Summary

The Healthy Living Program is currently seeking a registered dietician to join their team of professionals. The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing nutrition counseling and working with Health Promotion Services staff to develop and implement nutrition related programming for students, staff, and faculty to fulfill the University's mission. 

Duties include:

  • Provides oversight for Nutrition services at the Healthy Living Program; Conducts individual consultations with students on nutrition counseling. -
  • Documents findings and outcomes of nutrition consultations in electronic medical record; Plans and manages patient care and evaluates lab and diagnostic testing as it relates to nutrition. 
  • Develops educational nutrition materials and content for use on the student health website, social media outlets, cookbooks, and other publications. 
  • Plans, implements, and evaluates programs and events on nutrition including nutrition workshops, cooking demonstrations, special programs, and nutrition events. Assists with development of monthly and annual reports. 
  • Provides advice, consultation, and demonstration when necessary in the development of menus and food preparation methods. Conducts trainings and orientations for staff members, interns, and volunteers as it pertains to the nutrition program. 
  • Collaborates with other departments such as Counseling & Psychological Services to provide comprehensive nutritional counseling and coaching. 
  • Respond to customers nutrition and dietary questions via secure messaging, emails, social media, and other virtual platforms. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality with regard to any and all information as a direct or indirect result of job responsibilities/job function

Minimum Qualifications

  • Masters in Dietetics and Nutrition.
  • Registered Dietitian.
  • Specific Training/Licensure/Certification to practice in the State of Florida. 
  • Knowledge of nutrition principles and practices.
