Joe Pizik was a machine tool electrician in the Special Machine Division for Detroit Mold Engineering (D.M.E.). In the late '70s, the company experienced slow periods and Joe was laid off and called back to work several times. During the layoffs, Joe did small electrical jobs on his own. Because of Joe's strong belief in customer satisfaction and quality work, these customers often called him back for additional electrical work in southeastern, Michigan. Eventually, via word of mouth, the requests for work grew and Joe started his own business.
