Lead Personal Banker (Lead Teller)
Position Summary: This position reports to the Assistant Branch Manager or Branch Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing all Personal Bankers within the office to ensure the smooth and orderly operation of the teller line and related functions. This position is also responsible for maintaining and balancing a cash drawer in addition to rotating the branch vault, which includes cash, coin, negotiable instruments, etc.
Essential Functions: · Oversees all Personal Bankers for whom responsible; provides input to and may participate in Personal Banker appraisal process. · Schedules all Personal Banker personnel in order to maintain proper staffing. · Coordinates monthly staff meetings for ongoing training. · Ensures that each staff member submits work to proof in a neat and orderly manner. Ensures each Personal Banker balances every day. Provides assistance to locate any differences. Ensures that all differences are properly initialed and reported to the Branch Manager immediately. · Monitors and controls all detail responsibilities generally performed by Personal Bankers, delegating those duties in a manner which will maximize efficiency of the office. · Ensures that the appearance of the work stations and personnel are neat, organized and in accordance with Bank policy. · Conducts regular unannounced audits of all Personal Banker cash, coin, and official checks, maintaining a written signed record of each audit, reporting any exception to the Branch Manager. · Ensures all proof work has been processed and balanced daily. · Oversees proper dual controlled daily opening of the night depository and the processing of the contents therein under dual control. · Responsible for the ordering and shipment of cash. · Assists customers with services such as ordering ATM or debit cards, requesting stop payments, changing addresses, etc. · Follows and comply with all bank regulations and security procedures. · Completes all training requirements, including Compliance, in a timely manner. · Encourages teamwork. · Processes transactions within established policies and procedures. · Ensures and provides quality service to both internal and external customers. · Ability to lift coin bags of varying weight. · All other duties assigned.

Experience and Education: High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate); minimum of two years of teller experience.
