Utility Line Workers
The Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Authority will be accepting employment applications to fill two (2) positions in the following area until May 13, 2019 in our Jefferson Office.
Utility Line Worker
Responsibilities to include: General labor, repairing leaks, replacing and installing new water lines, installing new taps, restoration and driving and operating Authority equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes and lowboy trailers. Additional responsibilities may include meter maintenance, inspecting water line projects, flushing hydrants and performing any other duties assigned by Management. Required education would be a high school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills and the ability to read construction drawings would be preferred. Applicants must have a valid Driver's License (preferably a Commercial Driver's License). If the Applicant does not have a CDL, they must be able to meet the Authority's requirements to obtain a CDL. Applicants must also be able to lift 25-50 lbs. repetitively.
