Our ideal candidate has exceptional math skills, the ability to understand complex financial scenarios and experience with JD Edwards or some other ERP system. We're looking for someone with at least 3 - 6 years of hands on accounting experience who has a strong sense of ethics, killer time management skills, strong attention to detail, is creative, extremely trustworthy and reliable, has great communication skills, is collaborative, flexible and has a desire to constantly learn.

This position reports to the Accounting Manager requiring advanced GL accounting knowledge and is responsible for preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, revenue reports, sales and use tax filing, payroll allocation, as well as reviewing accounts payable and other operational functions.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounting: Post payroll in the accounting software system. File Sales and Use Tax. Support business partners through understanding their expenses, assisting with accruals and analyzing their results. Create complex journal entries. Develop and review revenue and expense entries. Perform balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis. Assist with month-end reporting packages including variance explanations, operational metrics, and various schedules. Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
Accounts Payable: Set up new vendor; update current vendors. Manage the online payables system including thorough review of invoices and check requests, appropriate routing and approval follow up. Work with operational partners to ensure vendors are paid and/or accrued for on a timely basis.
Other functions & responsibilities:
Provide back-up to the Accounting team and other partners. Serve as a partner to the operations to analyze key decisions and understand the business, operational and compliance impacts.

Minimum Education & Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree with a finance or accounting emphasis. 3-6 years in various accounting positions. Advanced GL accounting experience required.
