Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the planning and delivery of direct patient care through the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation.
- Takes a holistic approach in developing a nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family, and other healthcare team members.
- Facilitates referrals to primary providers, specialists, healthcare facilities and community resources.
- Provides education to the client and family regarding immediate care needs and preventative healthcare advice.
Qualifications:
- Licensed LPN or RN in Florida, and two (2) or more years of pediatric experience, with at least six (6) months experience caring for medically and technological dependent children.
- Pediatric nursing experience, defined as being responsible for the care of acutely ill or chronically ill children, within the current time frame.
- Basic personal computer skills and comfort with Windows Operating System.
- Negative Tuberculosis skin test (PPD) required within five (5) days of employment.
- Current CPR (Basic Life Support) required.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current LPN or RN license in the state of Florida.
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone to members of the healthcare team; excellent interpersonal skills.
- Capable of working to prescribed nursing standards
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows Operating System
Licenses/Certification:
- LPN or RN with professional license required.
- Current CPR (Basic Life Support) required.
