Work Shift:
ALL SHIFTS (United States of America)
Job involves varying levels of maintenance and repair on semi-trucks and trailers, refrigeration units, yard shag tractors, containers, etc.
Tasks include:
Welding aluminum and steel, using a cutting torch, and soldering of refrigerant lines. Diagnosis and repair of refrigeration unit systems, electrical repairs, air brakes and air system repairs, hydraulic systems, oil changes, grease jobs, steering repairs, repairing lights, trailer interior repairs, door hinge replacement, damage repair from accidents etc.
Team members are responsible for housekeeping in the shop and must clean up and have all tools, supplies and equipment put away after each job.
Paperwork includes filling out work orders that explain the work completed and time spent on each job. Team Member needs to enter the job in SAP on a computer and complete the labor summary for their shift and the work order summary as the jobs are completed.
Team Member must be able to interact with supervisor, customers, and peers when needed
Applicant must be safety conscious and able to follow Tyson Foods, Inc Safety Policy.
Applicant must be able to look though parts and maintenance manuals for information involving the repair. Applicant needs to be able to stay motivated even if working alone.
Applicant must provide their own hand tools that are required for the carious level (see list). Applicant needs to have Tech School Certification in performing maintenance on heavy duty equipment.
