ROLE of the POSITION
The Human Resources Coordinator reporting to the Libraries Director of Human Resources is responsible for classified and student employee recruitment and transactions including recruitment logistics, HR transactions, on boarding and orientations and training and resources. The position will manage the recruitment and hiring logistics for classified, student and temporary employees starting with the vacancy announcement and ending with the offer, hiring stages and on boarding. The incumbent will provide on-going support and guidance to recruitment committees, hiring supervisors, committee chairs, and candidates while supporting the Libraries commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Coordinate and facilitate new classified, student employee, and temporary employee onboarding activities.
- Liaison between Libraries Human Resources and new classified, student, temporary employees.
- Ensures new classified employees are scheduled for the campus new employee/benefits orientation, and Libraries new employee orientation; co-facilitates the Libraries new employee orientation.
- Conducts new employee check-ins throughout first six months of employment.
- Assists with planning, coordinating and facilitating initial classified interview committees and provides recruitment training.
- Updates and maintains recruitment and classified interview committee resources including existing and future LibGuides.
- Responsible for student employment including maximizing work study award usage, maintaining student employment database, application, job descriptions, and webpages.
- Maintains working knowledge of state and campus classified and student recruitment processes and requirements including best hiring practice and attends annual diversity training.
- Accurately and timely processes classified, student and temporary employee transactions in Workday.
- Maintains working knowledge of Workday and remains proficient with processing business processes in Workday and attends training, as needed or requested.
- Libraries HR Liaison and member of the Student Employment Leadership Group ensuring the group is compliant with the committees charge, Libraries HR and Libraries Leadership direction.
- Supports and participates in the Libraries All Staff appreciation and recognition library events planning and implementation.
- Supports as a back-up to the Libraries HR unit when needed.

This position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 3 years of comparable recent professional experience, and professionals at all stages of their career are encouraged to apply. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.

This is a full-time, 12-month, Administrative Faculty position at a Grade B. Minimum salary is $48,000. Salary is competitive with those at similarly situated institutions and dependent upon the labor market. The position is contingent upon funding.
