Facilities Services, Operations Electronics Technician 3 Fire Alarm & Life Safety Technician
Under general direction, maintain, troubleshoot, inspect and repair various types of fire alarm systems. Clean agent suppression systems, wet and dry pipe, pre-action and deluge fire sprinkler systems per NFPA standards. The salary range starts at $4,040. Background check required.
Required Qualifications
One year of experience as an Electronics Technician 2 in either general government or higher education OR four years of experience as an electronics technician OR equivalent education/experience.
Additional Requirements
- Three (3) years of experience as a fire alarm technician.
- Ability to respond to the work site on a 24-hour basis, during standby coverage on a rotating basis.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of, or ability to obtain within 3 (three) years of hire State of Washington EL01 Electrician’s certificate
- NICET Certification in Inspection and Testing of Water Based Suppression Systems.
- NICET Level II Certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
- NICET Certification in Special Hazard Suppression Systems.
